Title: Please Wait - Really annoying
Post by: ballboff on August 03, 2014, 02:01:17 pm
I'm using windows 7 on my cab and I've just about got it customised to a point that I'm happy with.  I've tried many different settings in registry to remove the please wait, welcome and shutting down screens with the boring blue page.  I can't even find a way of changing these, which seems like a pretty poor state of affairs as not everyone likes blue lol.  I've attached one of the screens that I have mentioned so you know what I'm talking about.

Try going through this tutorial http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=113896.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=113896.0)

Could be same steps as above, but this seems worthy of a read also http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=138747 (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=138747)

Ah, my greatest apologies.  I know they all say that but I did search before I posted.  Obviously not got the best keywords in the world.  Anyway since I posted this I found some of the steps in other posts and was missing a stage.  I had forgot to add the "take ownership" feature to the files I had amended with resource hacker.  I also forgot to run the cmd as administrator so that I could run mcbuilder.  Once I had done that everything disappeared as I expected.  I haven't been able to remove the language icons on the lock screen, but I can live with that as it will not be possible to press control alt delete on my machine to be able to lock it.  Thanks for taking the time to respond and thanks for your assistance, I know it's probably frustrating seeing the same questions keep appearing all the time.   :notworthy:   :applaud:
