I'd prefer all black myself but I also prefer to keep controllers out of sight and consider them eye sores.

^^^ This.

Or just build you a cab, and get of all the controllers.
You should of built like a stand up cabinet with a door, Bowser on the door and then the hooks inside with the controllers.

I was thinking the same thing. The controllers just obscure the artwork way too much.

Not sure what you're saying here.
In any case, the idea wasn't to hide them away, but to put them on display in a space efficient way and still accessible for use.

Pretty sure he was trying to say
Or just build you a cab, and get rid of all the controllers.

I have built an arcade cabinet. This is unrelated. I use original controllers on original systems, or original controllers with emulators on the cabinet. 2600, nes, etc on on the cabinet controls sure, but n64, gamecube, playstation.. anything with an analog stick? Why put up with that if you don't have to.
Perhaps I posted in the wrong forum. I don't consider controllers eyesores. Why would I hide away the interesting upright paddles for my 1976 Sheen 106C, or the Atari Lightgun?
Anyway.. carry on, I won't be hiding anything away anytime soon.

I get you want to show off the controllers, but I think they obscure the artwork and make it visually look too busy. A solid color background would probably look better for presentation purposes.

I think it's awesome if you use original hardware like that. Very cool. It's hard to tell from the pictures, did you get t-molding in the holes where the cords come through?

No they are too small for the slot cutter. So I painted them the matching colour i.e. playstation triangle circle cross square are green red blue pink; commodore blue with one red bit etc
