Looks fake to me for some reason. Too perfect?

Pretty sure it wasn't faked. Just look at the guys face when it happens. You know he screwed up big time.
Also, watch his hands. They're shaking badly from the moment that he picks up the record. Parkinsons, maybe?

ROFL

Whoa!! thats where my traffic is going!
I can keep it up for a little longer, then im gonna have to take it off.

I think the guy was nervous about being on television, hence the shakes. He was probably squeezing the roll in his anxiety and... snap!
He almost let the f-bomb drop on live television... Now THAT would have been worth the price of admission! :)

Yeah, instead he released the 'S' bomb instead.

I have a friend who's mom has about 50-75 of those records and a player. He says they are worth quite a bit of money. When that guy says it is a one of a kind, he must mean that particular record. They are kind of cool looking though. I didn't get to hear it so I can't tell you if it sounds just as cool.

Thanks, like Spaced Invader said, I'm sorry.
When someone sent me the link I had to show others. I usually don't spam, but I had to share this one.
I've even saved this one onto my desktop, for a giggle boost during the day.

I thought I had 2 GB's of traffic, but I checked and I have 5, so its ok :)
-
That was an Edison phonograph record. The earlier ones were tubular, later on the disk format became popular as you could record on both sides of it.
Part of me had a good laugh, the other part wonders whether whatever was recorded on that was lost forever when it broke. :-\
For example, jump forwards fifty years, and replace that recording with the last surviving archive of classic arcade roms. :o

So I'm absolutely curious, how much traffic was generated from here?

I wondered that myself, actually. The guy had a perspective on the value of the object, and he lost it due to his own fumbling. If we had the chance to ask him, I'd bet he'd say that the event happened in slow motion as he watched history crumble before his eyes.
If it was a nineteenth century recording, it is irreplacable.
I would have backhanded the interviewer for good measure. Smart alec.
