Title: Converted Nintendo vs and Dedicated Nintendo vs
Post by: FullmetalHeart on July 28, 2014, 12:35:18 pm
Got my hands on two Nintendo vs unisystems. $200 for the converted fully working. $125 for the dedicated supposedly working but no board. I'm gonna move the Mario over and restore the Converted to DK.

Well, eBay has a few options.

^ cheapest option and you can pick up a whole Jamma harness with wiring for a total $120 shipped.

Actual boards seem to run pretty high, no connectors or anything though.

Well, its JAMMA, so I imagine that it would, but I haven't used one yet myself.

trying to get this decal off is not going so great. I have some acetone which works for the glue but where the decal is its  not really helping.

yup, it does

I like the board, you can also disable the other 59 games, so it boots directly to DK, and it looks and feels like a real dk  :applaud:

OK for the tough question. BUY a fully working original rampage machine for $150 or by parts for the dk restore.

As much as I want that rampage I think I'm gonna pass on it.

So any color codes out there for bought cabinets. I googled for the dedicated machine but not much out there on it.

Any Idea where I can get this side art? I think it would look better than the other vs unisystem sideart but can't seem to find it.

Well I went to get a vs hogan's alley but it turned out to be a Vs Duck Hunt. I'm not rly a fan of duck hunt and I've never played Hogan's Alley. New Plan now. Mario Stays in the cab it is in, Duck Hunt moves to the dedicated cabinet and the new cab gets the Dk restore. The new cab is in better shape over all and its plywood not crappy particle board. The only problem is the psu monitor isn't working and missing the header light.

So what I should be doing first

1. Repair Dedicated cab body
2. clean it
3. paint
4. move duck hunt over
