Title: Is it possible to play US 3ds games on Jap 3ds?

My brother recently purchased a 3DS XL on Craig's list thinking he would be able to play his US 3DS games on it. Which of course you can't because of the region lock. So my question is, is there a way to remove the region lock. He is only interested in playing retail games.

You need either a Gateway or Sky3DS card to play other regions games on your 3DS.
