Should I purchase tinted glass for a cocktail cabinet?
How do overhead lights affect tinted vs. non-tinted glass?
-
Does anyone have any experience with one or the other?
-
If CRT then tinted all the way. I just put tinted on my build and love it.
Unsure if LCD, never tinted over LCD.

It is a Dell 2001FP.

I did a very light tint on the playfield of my virtual pinball cab (over an LED tv) and I think it looks great. So, I'd say go for it!

The LCD I have is untinted, looks just fine. I have to say though that the tinted ones I've seen do look a little bit nicer. Honestly, personal preference in my opinion if you're doing LCD. If you have extra cash and tint skills (or are ordering one way or the other) get a little tint, you'll likely be pleased.

I bought a standard glass, but put a piece of tinted plexi directly over the LCD screen. Looks great.

I'm not very interested in layering, or applying tint to a piece of plain glass, unless I absolutely have to. I'm getting a piece of glass cut, so I'd get it cut from a piece of tinted if that's the way to go.

Drop by your glassier and pic up a tint sample and lay it over your monitor. Drop off your order at the same time and tell them you'll call back with what tint grade to use. Return the samples when you pick up the glass. Easy peasy.

Excellent idea!

I went with tinted. I am very happy with it so far.
