Title: Those 6 packs of buttons used on poker machines
Post by: Sarver Systems on July 09, 2014, 03:43:25 pm
Does anyone have a cheaper place than Bob Roberts?

Specifically, what I'm speaking of are the rectangle lighted buttons that have a little tag inside. RAISE, HOLD, etc... They come in 4 colors I think?

Ebay turned up nothing.

No no. I'm using them as credit buttons on multiple machines. These work great. They're cheap, actual arcade buttons, lighted, and I can make them say whatever I want them to say. And they come in different colors so I can match them to the machine!

I'm not replacing any broken buttons.

I do the same thing with these buttons.  They make a pretty good fake coin slot and return button.

Was getting ready to post a link to the massive amount of buttons that come up on ebay when you search for 8-liner buttons, but...
wow, there really are none.  A few come up if you search for rectangular buttons, but they're still pricey.

Someone is selling blue ones cheap: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-of-5-RECTANGLE-BLUE-LIGHTED-Buttons-NEW-/180760495909?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a162a4725 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-of-5-RECTANGLE-BLUE-LIGHTED-Buttons-NEW-/180760495909?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a162a4725)

Same seller also has them for twice the price?  ???

I see now the cheaper ones are missing the light and switch holder...

Was gonna say the more expensive set probably has "Free Shipping" rather than the $7 shipping for the $5 set !  :soapbox:

free shipping each additional set, so depends on how many you order whether it is worth it.
Sarver Systems might be doing blue machines for a while.  :lol

Any links you guys can provide would be great. I'd probably end up buying 4 sets of them. I've got a bunch of games to do, and I really like how they turn out. They look almost OEM when they're done, I think.

This place doesn't have that particular style, but they have other styles:

Twistedquarter wants $15 to ship just the 6 buttons to me. Unacceptable.
So I ordered from Happ, but the shipping was never quoted. Why do I have a feeling I am about to be raped by them for shipping?

I didn't agree to any shipping charges, so I can always cancel via my CC if I need to, and order from Bob Roberts. I just hope it doesn't come to that.

I guarantee they'll charge more than $15.
If you've been on these or other boards for any amount of time, you've probably seen other comments about it and just didn't remember them.

I remember one person stating that Happ broke their order up into 3 shipments and charged them $25 shipping on each one!

I once ordered some VLT buttons from Happ that divemaster couldn't get.  I don't remember how much shipping was, but each tiny button was in a 6x8x10 box, with a bunch of those placed inside a gigantic box.  All the buttons could have fit in one small box.  It's not the shipping that gets you though, it's the "handling".

Happ offers $15 flat rate shipping for items that can fit into a USPS flat-rate box, but if you can get stuff from Divemaster, that is always the better way to go for lower prices and no surprise "Happ-slaps" on shipping/handling.

I'll just deny charges then, if I have to.

I didn't agree to pay a ton for shipping.
