Title: Contemprorary reccommendations for schmup arcade cab joystick?

Did a search. The Seimitsu LS-40 Joystick keeps coming up, but thought I'd ask those in the know.

At present, what's the best Joy for schmups on a cab?

I keep hearing about Seimitsu's with their short throw... which I certainly would use if I were to build my own fight/shmupstick.  Arcade controls panels are a different beast for which I prefer old-school wico leaf sticks.  I am a old, however, so my opinions may be invalid.
