So this summer my neighbor has hired me to do her deck, and seeing as this is a DIY kind of project, I thought I would show you guys the progress pictures as well as ask for some advice. Today was the first day working on it and that meant stripping the stain that was previously on it. I used Behr's no 65? Stain Remover, that worked so-so, used about twice as much to get the results i wanted and it took about 2 coats to get all the stain off in any given spot. She wants me to use Deckover by Behr, so if anyone has ever used that before any advice would also be greatly appreciated. Overall a good day though, only had to go to lowes 1 time :lol
Do you guys suggest any stain remover/stripper. I am hoping to get the majority of the deck stripped by tomorrow and the Behr product kinda sucks.

I don't know about stain remover, but I used Olympic Rescue It and thought it was pretty good. It's only been a week so I can't speak to how well it will hold up. But it went on good and wasn't super expensive.
It was $99 for 3 gallons. Covers 150sq ft - 2 coats. An option to consider.

Why not sanding? It might end up being a combination of the two but it seems like stain would be too far into the grain to remove chemically.

You probably want to do a search for reviews on those type of deckover paints.
I have not read too much good about them.

Chad: I will be sanding tomorrow, the stripper worked for the most part, but i need to get splinters and some more stain off. Like you said, a combo of both will work great.
MPM: I have never used this stuff before, some people love it and some hate it. It has gotten pretty much a 50/50 split. But this is what the lady wanted, so :dunno
Uncle: Thanks for the recomendation, but i meant for the stripper :D. She already bought Behr's deckover.
I also added more pictures in the Imgur link if anyone cares to view.
