So I got my hyperspin cabinet setup and working great and now i'm going to rip it apart again because i'm bored.
I want to try CRT Emudriver but I currently have a Nvidia card, I know I'm going to need to buy an ATI card, but which one? I would certainly appreciate ease of setup as well as enough performance to continue playing SSFIV and Injustice at max detail and 800x600 res.
Also anyone know of a cabinet joystick that would output both analog and digital at the same time?

An HD4350 is the best choice for a cheap, common card that has as flexible a dot clock as possible, and it is available fanless for a quiet cab too. While it is powerful enough for MAME, you will have to ask in the GroovyMAME section if it will be enough for your non-MAME applications. My guess is that you'll want something faster, but that's just a guess. If you just want to test one out they can be found on eBay for about $20.
The fastest card available for CRT_Emudriver is an HD4890. That's a lot more expensive though, so I'd definitely do the research before picking one of those up.
How are you going to run CRT_Emudriver and 800x600 in the same machine? Do you have a multi-sync monitor with a range from 15kHz to over 31kHz?

Yeah the monitor is a big-ass 21" CRT PC monitor

The HD 4350 won't run SSFIV at max detail & 60 Hz (I know because I tested it).

Ah. Doing black frame insertion?

Have you tried the HD4890?

No, but it will be plenty enough... too much IMO. Something in the middle, maybe the 4650.

not sure what you mean by "black frame insertion", I'm going to mount the CRT without the plastic shell if that answers your question.
I've been looking at the HD 4870 - should that TCOB ?

Black frame insertion lets you run ~240p at 120Hz vertical, 31kHz horizontal. Every other frame is a black frame, so it looks like 240p @ 60Hz.
If you're not doing that, are you sure you need CRT_Emudriver? Can this PC monitor actually do 15kHz?
