I have a Bags cabinet that I am converting to a 3 n 1. It is the standard IT cabinet with a 29"CRT. I had to purchase extra wiring harnesses to get all the cables I need, but I am getting there. The 6 in 1 switcher board just arrived, so I will get started o it this weekend. Anyone else have a similar project and could give me some tips/suggestions?

Not sure on the power requirments for what you are doing, but you may want to invest in using 2 power supplies. Not entirely sure how you are planning on setting everything up. Also, those cheap Jamma harness extensions are total crap so you may run into problems with this. Here is a writeup I did on how bad they are...

I did a 2-in-1 setup using a Mike's Arcade Double Jamma switcher. I did a GT 2005 and Simpsons Bowling in one cabient....

All three games are Nighthawk, so they are PCs and don't get power from the Jamma connector (each has its own Power supply. Only the 6 in 1 switcher is powered from the Jamma, so the "cheap-o" jamma extenders work great. I'm running the 12 and 5V lines off of the I/O connector from the Silver Strike. Two problems. 1. The switcher doesn't transmit the test button signal. 2. Even though the ad says that the switcher cuts signal to the board, it doesn't. When you are playing another game, all the button inputs are transmitted to the other games. Oh, and I made a 4 into one trackball harness (I'm going to add Golden Tee complete or Live) So all of the trackball inputs are shared between the games too, which isn't really a problem.

Gotchya.
You have to mod the switcher for the service menu/test button to work because the trace off the Jamma connector is a dead trace. To prevent the other boards causing a loop back ground, you have to install diodes as well or the board you choose will think you constantly have the test switch pressed. Here is a tutorial I made. Just follow what it says and you should be good...

As for the button inputs not being blocked between games, as long as your start button is going through the Jamma harness and the switcher, only the game you have selected should be playable. The other games should not be affected.

Thanks for the tip. That doesn't look too terribly difficult. I may give it a shot.

I may go back to a 2 in 1...traded a mac mini for another cabinet.

I have bag toss pro and silver strike in the same cab. I used a db 25 switch.
