Title: MAMEUI resetting my keys

Anyone have an idea as to why Mameui would reset all my binds?

Not sure what kind of configuration that your rig has but if MAME doesn't see the assigned controller (usually a disconnected or powered off game pad) It nukes the default.cfg file and resets any game specific mappings in the game.cfg file.
Took me awhile to find out what was going on but after way too many times resetting all my custom button mappings I discovered that if I launched a game with my XBOX 360 controllers powered off it would rewrite the default.cfg and force it to use the default keyboard mappings.
I really hate that it does this and I'm currently working with CTRLR files to find an acceptable work around.

ooh, this is definitely a possibility.  I am always disconnecting my laptop because I use it for reasons besides MAME. 

Can i open mame with it disconnected or does it reset when you boot a game?
