Description: Joystick and a fire button, what more could you ask for! Shoot stuff that comes at you. Shoot letters to gain bonus. Levels are represented by Greek letters, so tell your wife this is educational.
General Rules:
- One Credit, No Continues.
- Highest score wins.
- No savestates, savestate practices, etc. during the round.
- MAME INP recordings are encouraged but optional.
- A screenshot is required to enter a score (press F12 to save screenshot showing your final score) or take a photo of the game screen.
- If you're a MARP competitor on this title, keep in mind this is just a friendly competition among forum members, so maybe you shouldn't enter. However, if you're a forum member and this is a game you're good at and nobody knows about it, this is your time to shine!
- Even if you don't have a competitive score or if you don't *think* that you have a competitive score, please post it anyway to keep the thread fun & to give everybody a good sense of score ranges.
- Please make sure your scores are from games that take place during the competition period (no posting your best score from last year, etc.).
- Use of autofire or other non-standard hacks within MAME or your PC's OS are not allowed. No program or other person or entity of any sort may manipulate your controls during your game. Coaching & back-seat driving is fine as long as the party doesn't directly influence the game or controls.
- If you can beat any of the high scores from the previous competitions, you can submit your score to the BYOAC High Game Scoreboard.

Great game !!! I have owned the original pcb for this game for a couple of months, and I know I have done better the few times I have played it earlier.
(When I got the game the dip-switches was actually set on "hardest" difficulty. Fun, but a serious challenge.)

First time in these competitions. Can really feel the pressure. ;D

Fun game! Can't believe I've never played it before. 93,100 on my first try.

131,900. Died on gamma boss. Would've beaten him in a couple more shots and gotten the end of level bonus.

Played twice. My little boy was in my arms. He kept hitting the fire button & moving the joystick & pushing the Save State button (essentially pausing the game right when there were 4 bullets in my face & I couldn't unpause & move in time to live and still hold him up).
So, just watch out for when I can play with 2 free hands!!! :]

Sorry I haven't been around much (huge project at work) but I'm glad to see lots of action in this round. We now have 12 different scores. Could not quite get to a second place score so here is what I got. Not sure I'm going to get much better.

This might sound weird, but I actually find this game relaxing and enjoyable. I don't even care that I lose. I don't think anyone would say that about Mystic.

So I noticed that no matter how much stuff I shoot I usually have about 36k right before the 1st boss. So I thought, what happens if you don't shoot much of anything? Well, the level seems to go on for quite some time and looks like you start the 2nd level but never pass the boss. I think it uses the amount of points you score in a round to tell if you are done.

A tip for the end-of-level boss:
If the 3rd digit (hundreds) of your score is even, it'll start swinging to the right; if it's odd, it'll swing to the left.
