I tried PiPlay and while everyone acts like its plug and play after putting roms in their folder it most certainly isn't. How have you all fared with your Pi and emulation? I'd be happy to play the Metal Slug series, some side scrolling beat em UPS, and if possible Demon Front. I heard some people were very successful with the Slug games and others seem to be struggling to get neogeo to run at all. Looking for experiences as well as maybe setup help.

Try RetroPie:

I assume PiPlay uses retroarch as does this and it supports anything retroarch can handle on the Pi. I still had to do some configuration to get things working properly, but it wasn't too bad :) I haven't messed with mine enough recently to give any pointers, but try that one out.
I still want to be able to get both this and XBMC in the same install using rom collection browser to launch but never got there :/

Check out ultra slim on the pi forum or search for raspicade.
I'm going with p3 and Linux cause it doesn't take all night to compile Mame advancemame like on the pi. Lol.
I did try xbmc with ROM browser on my p3 Linux system but it was slow.
Not sure if it would be faster on a pi even though it uses GPU.
I installed wahcade on my pi but its the 256mb version and even with a low res plain layout it was dog slow also.
