Title: mounting computer speakers directly to arcade
Post by: jordanshadow on June 04, 2014, 12:04:53 am
I have some Logitech Z-623 for my arcade cabinet and am running into issue. The satellites enclosure is an odd shape and the volume/bass/power nobs prevent the speaker from sitting flush against any hole that I could make. This will obviously allow marquee light through. The main question is how would they sound if I simply took apart the enclosure and direct mounted the speakers to the cabinet?

Mine sound fine that way. I needed to do that to make an extension for the volume.

Take the speakers apart completely, remove their plastic enclosure and mount the speakers flush against the marquee wood mount.  Then buy an aftermarket speaker grill and re-attach.
