Ok my mame machine monitor doesn't work, I had it shipped here after a year and a half in storage and now it won't turn on, my buddy tried trouble shooting it a bit, after turning the machine on and having power running into the arcade machine he went to discharge the monitor and nothing happend, he said that no power was going to the monitor and he thinks my board could be fried. I don't know jack about monitors but what do yall think?
My monitor is a Zeneth and the OEM# is 138032, does anyone know where I could get a new board for it if this is the problem?

post a pic--that way we can identify what chassis (the board) you have. Also, check for loose connections on the board and burn marks to see if something went pop (you never know). also check your fuses on the monitor and in the cabinet.

Check for signs of mice in the cabinet. Mice eat wiring and pee on circuit boards! If the game has been in storage was the storage space heated? Monitors and moisture don't mix.

here's some pics, my buddy did mention a small burn mark on the board but he said it could've been from the heat since they get hot, not sure where the burn was at.
Here's a few pics

sorry about the bad pics, havn't taken the board out of the machine yet, not too comfortable messing around with it myself

last one, dunno if you can tell anything by these pics but if it helps it used to be street fighter two (jamma)

Looks like one of the Kortek/Imperial/Sharp Image/Penn-Ray monitors.
-
dunno, the monitor itself has a zenith sticker on the back of it....

That's just who made the tube.

so uhm, any idea where I could get one of those boards?
Will it have to be a specific board or could I get any kind of board?
-
Check the 110 to the monitor.
Check the chassis for a blown fuse.
"Nothing happening" during monitor discharge is normal sometimes... No pop, no nothing. That didn't mean it didn't have a charge.
Look for "glow" at the neck.
Check the silly stuff first before you start counting the couch coins for a new chassis. :)

Mice eat wiring and pee on circuit boards!
And how!
I liked that so much, I had to quote it. :)

no glue and the fuses are good :(

Get either a multimeter or one of those neon test lights and test the power at the monitor power cord connector to see if AC power is making up to the monitor. If not then there must be a blown fuse in the bottom of the game somewhere or the isolation transformer is bad or possibly has a wire broken off it. If power is getting to the monitor power connector then something is wrong on the monitor circuit board (a.k.a. "the chassis"). There are several persons/companies who do monitor chassis repair on the newsgroup rec.games.video.arcade.collecting who can fix your chassis if you send it to them. Usual cost to repair is in the $50 to $100 range.
