Title: Concept for my next cab

I've decided to built an upright with a 19 inch vertical monitor.  This game will only have older 4 way type game including
1941
Galaga/galaxian
Centipede
Burgertime
maybe Qubert
pacman/MS pacman
digdug
missle command
space invaders

What other clasic games would you include?

The control panel is super simple.  A single 4 way, 3 buttons and a trackball.  Should be a great little project.
What other vertical games would you suggest/include.

To me you miss some "no questions asked" classics ...  ;D

Moon Patrol
Scramble
Amidar
... and ... of course ...
Arkanoid

but hey ... that's just me ...  :D

Moon Patrol isn't vertical.....

there are a ton of vertical shooters, but I can't come up with any names atm

Scramble isn't vertical either.
1941 needs an 8 way stick and I suggest you put one in or you will miss some great games ( or at least a switchable stick ). Personally I would skip the trackball for your project unless you are a huge Centipede/Misssile Command fan.

Also QIX, Time Pilot, Alpine Ski, Bomb Jack, Juno First, Phoenix, Moon Cresta, Tetris, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jnr, Pleiads some of my favourites but there are plenty more.

Hm... MAME plays Scramble as a vertical... Best use an 8-way for it, though.

Yeah my mistake, don't know why I thought it was horizontal? Weird.

It would be logical, as horizontal shooters are usually on a horizontal monitor. Not Scramble, though.  Go figure. :)
