Title: Sanwa JLF - wiring to ipac2 instructions?
Post by: ray34ster on May 11, 2014, 05:53:47 pm
Im taking the plunge and building a mame machine.  Woodworking will not be a problem...and most of the button wiring to the ipac2 looks easy.  I havent seen any documentation/screenshots of how to wire the sanwa jlf to the ipac.

I see you plug in the 5 pin wiring harness to the jfl's pcb...then do those 5 wires, ground, up, down, right, left go to the corresponding places on the ipac2?

Be aware that some resellers of these joysticks save a few bucks by including a wiring harness other than the original one.
The problem with that is that the colors are incorrect.  Black is not ground on these other harnesses.
Ground is on the end, closest to the edge of the pcb.
