One of my favorite games of all time is the C64 game Wizard (http://www.c64-wiki.com/index.php/Wizard) and it's enhanced version, Ultimate Wizard.
I want this game in a portable format, and am having trouble finding a suitable version.
I am aware of C64 emulators for phone devices, but I can't play any platform games using a touchscreen. I want buttons.
I tried using FrodoDS (http://gpf.dcemu.co.uk/Frodoc64.php) with a DS Lite, but there are two problems: the screen is slightly cut off, and worse, the Frodo emulator does not properly handle timers. In Wizard, this timer problem causes the bonus bar to drop quickly, which I can live with. But it also causes problems with the alternating stairs, making some levels unplayable.
Does anyone have any suggestions for better alternatives to play these games?
Thanks.

It appears the Wizard games were never ported to any other consoles or home computers. The only suggestion I have is to try the psp port of vice - http://psp.akop.org/vice. (http://psp.akop.org/vice.) You would of course need a psp with custom firmware.

Thanks for the info. Since I have an android phone, I am going to try the emulators for that first. I just recently picked up a bluetooth gamepad, too. Haven't had a chance to try it, yet.
