I finally finished my new version of my Control Panel. This version is smaller and integrates the wheel even better now.
Changes from old to new.
Upgraded my wheel from a Logitech MOMO wheel to a Logitech Driving Force GT (270* vs 900*, Fat base vs Slimmer Base, 10in wheel vs 11in wheel)
Removed the trackball. (i didnt play enough trackball games to justify its space)
Player 1 and Player 2 button layout are now facing the screen straight (no more angles)
Turned coin reject button into my "coin" button and moved it higher for easy access
Removed "tab/admin" button from CP (I have my wireless keyboard nearby)
Added pinball buttons (left/right flipper buttons) to the side of my CP for a better pinball experience. (previously, i was using the steering wheel paddle shifters)
Extended the shaft of my steering wheel to be able to hide the base in the CP
Added a Sanwa JLW joystick to player 1 for a tool-free switchable 4 to 8 way joystick (just lift the CP and twist the restrictor plate to switch)
Added a xin-mo 2 player encoder (previously player 1 was xbox 360 controller with sanwa buttons and player 2 was a PS3 controller with sanwa buttons...and it was a wiring mess inside the CP)
Shaved off an inch or two off the CP
Things to do
Mount my PS2 and PS3
Add an up/down shifter (i have a spare 4-way joystick that i am making restrictor plate to make it 2-way, i will post that once its done)

Captivated by the bezel art.

I have to ask why is the panel jutting out 3 feet past the front of the cabinet when you aren't really using any of that space.

I would guess probably viewing distance while using the wheel?

Yes, i did it for the viewing distance of the wheel but, when i first made the CP, i didnt notice how huge the CP was until it was completed and saw a side profile of it. This is my first cabinet and it was made with spare wood i had and a handheld powered saw. No router, tablesaw or anything like that. No blueprints to pull off the internet either since 2 in 1's, are not common.
the inside is pretty packed now, so I think this is the smallest its going to get with the wheel inside.
Its not the prettiest but, it does everything I need to do and its fun as hell.
