Im in the middle of my first project and i might add LED buttons since im using a decased laptop is posible (safe) to power up 6 buttos or more with USB ?

USB 2.0 has a max output of .5 amps. Assuming you're using all blue LEDs (since that's what you have pictured), 6 of them would have a continuous forward current of .12 amps and a peak forward current of .3 amps. You'll be just fine without a powered USB hub.

For that many buttons, go with an LED controller. :cheers:

This is great info.
I want to power 8 LED buttons for my Punch-Out bartop.
It will be a PC powered project and I was unsure how to do so.
