I feel like a complete dunce, someone please help
I bought 10 LED push buttons - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181190884917?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181190884917?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)
and a zero delay LED encoder - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181275835255?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181275835255?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)
Both came with no instructions, i have put the LED inside the button by unscrewing the bottom of the push button and then installed and wired the microswitch to a zero delay joystick encoder and this works fine and registers.
I have put the cable which goes in to the LED encoder and this has 4 wires coming out, 2 which have lucar connectors the same size as the side connectors which you can see on - http://img02.taobaocdn.com/imgextra/i2/1696223986/T2XC9zXAxaXXXXXXXX_ (http://img02.taobaocdn.com/imgextra/i2/1696223986/T2XC9zXAxaXXXXXXXX_)!!1696223986.jpg - so ive plugged this in on both of these and these look to go down to where the LED plugs in... Do I need to plug in these small lucars somewhere also , if so where ? are they grounds?
When I push the button nothing lights up, are these meant to be always lit or only when the button is pushed as i dont see the microswitch touching anything which would set of the LED.
thanks in advance,

One of the three wires will have two quick disconnects (QDs), one of them goes to the microswitch and the other goes to the LED connection -- not sure if that wire is 5v or ground. :dunno
One of the two remaining wires go to the microswitch and the other goes to the LED.
LED QDs are usually 0.250" and microswitch QDs are usually 0.187".
If you've got the button press registering, it sounds like the LED is installed backward.
