Title: Name that game!!! aka Search-fu don't fail me now!
Post by: Le Chuck on April 22, 2014, 07:53:42 pm
Twas a thread a year (2?) back in which somebody (Badmouth/Nep?) posted a video of a PC game in which one drove a crazy futuristic car.  The game played with spatial relationship, you could drive up walls and upside down and whatnot.  Seemed to be a lot of black and a lot of bold colors.  Any ideas?

Also:  I'm putting together a list of fun games that are geared to a yoke for my Starfighter build (in progress) so I'm on the hunt for cool racing games that are a bit off the wall.  I don't want to play games like Need for Speed on this build but stuff like WipeOut, N2O, and Beam Breakers are right up my alley.  Analog 1-4 axis capable okay.  Any suggestions?

It was Generic Eric with Nitronic! http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,120972.0.html (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,120972.0.html)

I know I just posted this thread but I seriously fiddled around trying to remember that game for two days and posted it just so that I'd find it - which worked for once  :lol

Anyway, still looking for similar suggestions!

I want to recommend Sky Drift, but I played it on the xbox 360 gamepad.  I don't know how well it would translate to a yoke.  To a flight stick, probably fairly well.

Also may want to check out the Rollcage series (PS1, PC), one of my favorites.

high end is not exactly high end anymore. i would say 9500gt and up would be good now.

I like the look of Sky Drift, I'll try it out!  I'm going to have to do some interesting tweaking to get nitronic rush to play nice with the yoke I think but I do have that thumbstick for the rotations so I should be straight if I can get it all to register right.

Distance looks cool but it looks like it's one of those kickstarters where the programmers fall in love with perfection and how awesome their game will be then slowly drown in their own expectations.  Kinda like where Super Action Squad (nee Super Retro Squad, the follow up to SMB Crossover)

Anything else hot?
