I've heard it before on the forums... and I didn't want to believe it. I couldn't believe it. But, it's true... I am an arcade addict.

In a few years, you will fondly look back at this pic and kinda remember what it was like to have space in your garage. lol
In 2003, I had one MAME cab. I started buying dedicated games in 2007 (I think), and now I have 5 arcade games and 5 pinball machines. It sounds good when I say it like that. It is when I mention the ~50 games that have come and gone during that time, that it sounds like I may have a problem. :dizzy:

The monitor on my MVS started making sparks out the back today... :banghead: :banghead:
That's a bit frustrating. Time to figure out what is causing this and how to fix it.

The circle indicates where it was sparking.

Busted flyback. I just bought a dynamo cab with the same issue. You are going to have to find out which model monitor is on that MVS and get a replacement. twistedquarter tends to have replacement flybacks for the most common monitors.

I hear you, brother. I started with one MAME cabinet the summer of 2010..... I'm up to 12 machines and counting...

I got my first cab in 2009. Started with two joys and six buttons. Built a new cp and added a trackball and 4 way. Started two other builds and didnt like them. Fourth try was the charm. I have 11 cabs in my basement right now, but had 13 on hand. I never thought I would ever have one. I still get a huge smile on my face when I walk into my arcade!

hehe. I'll be glad when I have 1. But then it will begin. Because 1 is never enough.

Thank you very much for the name on this part. After a bit of research it doesn't seem like too much of a plain to fix.

@ yotsuya and Brian74
I would love to do that personally.... My wife may not be too happy about that.

I started with having mine in the garage too. But then it was getting cold out. I explained to her " I am I suppose to play it when its freezing in there". Then she let me bring in my Mame and racing cab. Now that we have a house. I have the whole basement. The only crappy part now is, I am out of room

Yeah, this stuff is like crack. Got an Egret 3 with the intention to MAME it five years ago, but have bought lots of Neo Geo, PGM and CPS2 games (apart from everyday PCBs) for it in the meantime.
