Hello everyone! A few days ago, I bought an iCade 60-in-1 video game cocktail table. It is not vintage. Has a sticker inside, manufactured last year. Bought it from an older man who barely used it, said he never messed with any settings, and did not have the manual.
This is my issue. It is set on free play. How do I change this to operate on coins? Also, when I turn the machine off, the high scores are never saved.
I've searched online for manuals and the pictures I see of the inside panel and dip switches do not match. I understand there is suppose to be a 'test' button but I don't see it in the cabinet.
Any thoughts?

dip 3 is high scores, warning though, it only saves the scores me thinks, not the actual initials.
I believe freeplay is set up in the test menu (hold test or button #2) while turning the machine on.
-
The 60-in-1 manuals are readily available online.
I'd start at [Link removed. No direct links to 60 in 1 retailers please - DeLuSioNaL29] and go from there. They sell the 60-in-1.
There are settings to enable and disable individual games, as well as settings for individual games, such as difficulty, speed, number of lives, etc...

Thank goodness RandyT and AndyW don't also sell multigame boards. It would be a shame for us to not be able to share their links.
I cropped out the offending watermark. Not sure if this what you found in your google search or not.
If these don't match ask for your money back.

Thanks but I think that's an issue, I don't see a test button. I tried all buttons (each individually) while turning the machine on and so far no test menu.

can you take a picture of your board? I have 2 different 60 in 1s and holding fire button 2 down during power on led to the test menu on both.
-
Thanks, I tried again and nothing. I'll post a picture in a few.

Thank you for helping and thanks to Generic Eric for posting those pictures. Unfortunately, this is was I have already found. Maybe it's just me. I don't know much about this but I'm trying my best. It just doesn't make sense to me! Let me tell you what I do have:
SW1
- N.O.
- N.C.
SW2
- slow
- med
- fast
SW3
- MGN
- NOM
Any ideas?

need a pic of the actual PCB. judging by your pix, the green button on player 1 side being held down *should* put you into the text menu if you hold it down during power on.
-
Pressed the green button during start-up the entire time. Nothing. Even tried the green button on the other side just incase. Nothing.
What's the PCB and where do I find it?

PCB is "Printed Circuit Board" attached a picture of one. Are you holding the green button down the whole time? If that fails it should be dip 4 to get into test mode, Generic Eric posted the switch settings up a few posts.

Thank you for all your help. Really appreciate it.
Yes, I'm holding the green button the whole time. It goes through all the system initializing and then to the normal screen where the games are.
Are you saying dip 4 is on the circuit board? The circuit board is not visible to me. How do I get to it?

Since its a custom cabinet, I cant say for sure how to open it up. Maybe take a flashlight and look inside for latches? Sorry I cannot be of more help. Perhaps post your location to see if anyone local can come take a look at it for you?
-
I'll see if I can figure out how to open it later today. If not, I'll have to quit and hire someone.
Thanks again for trying to help!

Yeah, I'm in PA. That's a little far for a service call.
Post pics of the board so we can see it, and we'll do our best to help you out. These guys here are top notch, and have helped me out quite a few times as well.

That looks to be just a standard ole 60-in-1 that [link removed by moderator] sells. Did you go to their website to get the manual?
-
Yes, I have that manual. And it's the same snapshots that Generic Eric posted.
Seriously, NEVER thought I as a ditz until now.
I'll keep trying.

If it's the same as the 400-in-1, turn the power off, flip switch #4, turn the power on, and you should be at a setup screen. Make your changes, power down, flip switch 4 again, and power back up.
-
Moved bit 4 and powered on holding the red button. I'm in a menu of sorts :applaud:

That's where the free play settings should be

Great, thank you all for the help! I got in there and set each game to my liking! Once I figured it out, it was easy! Seems to be working fine.
I'm curious to know what the red button next to the volume knob is? Also, I notice that the high scores are not saved after the machine is off. Am I missing something?
-
High score is on the first page I posted, sound is on the second.
-
Thanks. Yes, I got that. They do save but not after the machine is turned off.

That's probably the test switch. LOL. Have you tried holding that one while turning it on? If you still have it open, the test switch is connected to the green or red wire that you see coming out from pin # 15 on your connector (in your pic, it's on the bottom). Follow that wire and see if it connects to the red button.

You're not supposed to turn it off. You can't make money if it is off. ;)

I think I read that it will save scores when you shut it off, but not initials.

LOL! Test should be easily accessible!
I'll figure this button out one of these days. I'm tired of fiddling with the whole thing.

Yes! I told my kids, 'Now, go invite some kids over and tell them to bring quarters!'
