Switches and joysticks sold. Thanks to everyone who had interest.
2 Data East rotary joysticks, round yellow handles, 4 leaf-switches, wire harness for rotary switch with IDC connectors on each end.
2 yellow leaf-switch buttons
4 red leaf-switch buttons
4 grey leaf-switch buttons
I bought a Heavy Barrel arcade machine recently and replaced the original (1988-ish) leaf-switch buttons and rotary joysticks. I had gotten a great deal on the arcade machine so I opted to spend $120 for new HAPP rotary joysticks and $20 for new buttons instead of spending time to take everything apart to clean it. (I've seen how the rotary switches come apart and it's just not something I'm up to.)
First off, all of this works, just not as perfectly as I wanted. I started using contact cleaner on the buttons, but it was just easier to replace all the buttons with shiny new ones. I'm a bit lazy that way. (My only disappointment was the lack of yellow rotary joystick handles and apparently grey buttons do not exist.)
All leaf switches have 0.187" terminals, but had wires soldered to them. I did a quick desolder and flux removal on all but the last joystick (missed by accident, but I put all the solder stuff away already).

Asking $40 for the whole thing, including USPS shipping to continental USA. If you only want the joysticks, it's still $40. Insurance or any special delivery fees will cost extra, but USPS.com is good with figuring those out ahead of time. :blah:

Do you take HaRuBuCkS?
Just kidding. Good luck with the sale. That's a good price.

Never heard of those, and after a brief Google search, I'm afraid to look deeper. ;D
Thanks for the luck. I'm mostly interested in seeing these go to someone who needs them, even if they just clean them up and resell them for more.

Wait, you mean that H1000 that you're paying me for working at your booth at ZapCon is worthless?
Oh, and someone buy this today. Hell of a deal.

I could low ball him at 30 shipped, it'd only cost him a nickle to ship to me.
I dont have a use for them, but I dont mind having yet another box of parts.

Hope nobody minds if I bump this. It's been more than a month and I thought these controls would be gone by now.

PM sent. The price is right.
EDIT - Sent an e-mail to the address in the listing as well.

Glad to hear. Paypal info e-mailed and once the funds arrive I'll change the thread header to sold. Congrats.

Sticks and buttons received. They were packaged with care and are in great shape for being almost 30 years old. I have slowly been gathering hardware to make a rotary CP for my generic angle cab and am getting real close to being able to put it together. I have a Heavy Barrel pcb, two not so nice ls-30 sticks and now these very nice wico's (with harnesses!). I find it interesting that these wicos have Data East caps. The BYOAC wiki states that data east used ls30's, but these are leaf switch wicos (which I love) and have a much smoother action to them than the ls-30's.
Thanks again, kuddlkat!

Glad to see you'll be putting them to good use. I don't really know the differences between joysticks--I'm basically your novice arcade machine enthusiast. I'm pretty sure I'll need a bigger house if I even entertain the idea of getting another cabinet game machine again though. (It's only two arcades and one redemption...) :dunno
