So my cab is set up on an old dell pentium 4 with win xp 32 bit and using gamelauncher front end.
i have everything working smoothy. got xp start bar hidden, gamelauncher on startup, autologin, and boot screen changed.
the only issue I am having now is when I press the power button on the PC to exit - the menu comes up asking to wait or shut down gamelauncher and to click that to shut down i have to use the keyboard/mouse - i'd rather have it just shut down when i push the button - that said - any way to prevent this from happening? it seems to just hang forever until I click end, i just want it to auto close everything and shut down.
any help would be appreciated. thanks!

I'm not familiar with game launcher - is there any shutdown options that you've missed perhaps?
If not, a lot of PC's will just shut down if you keep the power button held down for a few seconds, rather than just pressing it. I've never had any problems turning off a PC in this way. Worth a try, eh?

if u hold it down it's improper shut down. you press it, and it's set to auto-shut down.
that being said...
gamelauncher exits on ESC - which is fine I can press esc on my keyboard then shut the computer down, but I'd rather just shut the computer down and not worry about the extra step.

it's old school but i love it and it just works.

I used to run gamelauncher but it's been 8 years or so - iirc you can turn off that prompt in one of the cfg files.
