Hey everyone, first post here. I've had this Rockola about a year now and it plays great. I have tons of questions on how to refinish it, but I'll wait on those until I've looked around here more.
Right now I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the sound changing from quiet to loud in the middle of songs. This is a new issue, and it comes and goes.
Unrelated, I'm also having trouble where I pick a song down the alphabet (like a Q7 for instance) and the selection disk will keep spinning and not select it until I pick something towards the start of the selection alphabet (like an A3). If anyone has advice on fixing that calibration too I'd appreciate it.

Can't offer anything on your sound issue, but maybe a little help on the selection problem.
By what you're describing, the write-in arm is rotating, just not selecting certain banks. I would start by cleaning all the contacts on the selection switches.
Next step would be to clean all of the contact rings on the write-in side of the selector assembly as well as the contacts themselves. Also make sure that the contacts are actually "contacting" all through the rotation.
If you still have a problem, pick one of the selections that doesn't work and check for continuity on the wiring between the selection switch and the selector assembly. You'll need to look at the wiring diagram in your manual to find the specific one(s) to look at.
