Title: any idea why Jackal and Namco Classics 1 crash?
Post by: aramis on March 20, 2002, 09:28:47 pm
Hey all,

I get ACCESS VIOLATIONS every time I try to play Jackal (or any game that uses the Jackal parent rom) and Namco Classics Vol. 1. The memory addresses are different for each game.

Namco Vol. 1 actually starts up and lets me "insert coins", but then crashes when I hit P1 start. Maybe something to do w/ the sound rom workaround?

Any help would be cool...

The system is a P3 667, 512RAM, Win XP, ATI AIW128, MAME32 .58. Only other thing running is Norton anti-virus, but killing that process has no effect on the crashes...

Thanks!

Forgive the dumb question but did you try asking on the Mame message boards since developers look there?

Good point...I guess I was just hoping to find out if anybody else had the same problems first, before posting over there.
