Title: ROMs: Horizontal/Vertical Definition
Post by: Richardgregory on March 13, 2014, 09:49:22 am
On my front end application(I'm using M.A.), there is an option to have the application categorize and list "Horizontal" and "Vertical" games automatically into a list in the front end menu.  It appears to work; however, I'm finding some titles not defined properly.

Where is this information stored and how can I change the specification to classify if a ROM is either vertical or horizontal?   :dunno

Thanks!

I'm not sure how MA works but this info usually comes from Mame's info (-listxml). I would be surprised if the info is incorrect...what game(s) are in question?

Asteroids - it didn't come up as either horizontal or vertical.

Last time I looked (some time ago admittedly) is was classified as horizontal.

Are you sure it isn't something to do with the screen type being vector?
