Title: Furring Strips and Staples
Post by: Richardgregory on March 13, 2014, 09:44:43 am
I picked up a cabinet that appears to have furring strips are stapled down to the inside of the cabinet - I need to remove these strips to reposition them.  The strips are just 1/2" in depth I think.  What can I use?  I tried a chisel, which didn't work as the staples sunk deep into the cabinet side and chipped my chisel.

Would a rotary tool work such as a Dremel?  Not sure if there are attachments that might cut wood and metal easily.

Thanks

DO you have a Harbor Freight tools nearby ? IF so they have a coupon for a $15 oscillating tool that should work - ( http://www.harborfreight.com/# (http://www.harborfreight.com/#) )

Can't you just get a pry bar underneath and pull?
