Title: 4player coin door wiring
Post by: Shieldwolf on December 02, 2003, 06:05:50 pm
I bought a happs four player door but I'm not sure how I should wire it up. The dip switches are freaking huge and my quick disconnects won't fit. Anyone know if Radio shack would have bigger disconnects or is there another way I should wire it up.

Yeah radioshack will have qd's of all sizes.  I bought a small variety pack that had all of the qd's I needed for my coindoor.

The quick disconnects are generally manufactured in two sizes, 1/4" (.250) and 3/16" (.187). I'm assuming your coin switches have the 1/4" terminals. Radio Shaft has then under their part number of 64-4039. Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Lowe's Hardware sell quick disconnects in the Electrical Dept. also. Most auto parts stores sell 'em too.

Hey ShieldWolf!

Yeah I believe you'd be after the .250 disconnects...  I've got a big ol' pile of 'em here, full insulated type, that I can't ever use.  Want me to sent you a few in an envelope?

And thanks, I finally got your CDs in the mail.  Arrived safe and sound.   They probably just headed west to Illinois, instead of east. :D

I go thru those 1/4" fully insulated disconnects like crazy. I use them on the ground wire on Wells-Gardner monitors when I service them. I was getting them at Home Depot for around $8 per 100 pack. I use the male and female ones, but mostly I use the females.
