Title: MA does not save lists
Post by: nemesismachine on March 03, 2014, 05:33:01 pm
No clue why, but now I can't save favorites.  I can add new games, but when I restart they aren't saved.  I'd try the MA forum, but PHPBB errors prevent me from registering.  Nice for someone that's bought their software for 2 different cabinets...

Anyone ever see it not save?

Does it have something to do with the preferences executable outside MA and hitting Ctrl+P? I know for whatever reason they behave differently.

What he said but clarify, always change preferences from within MA otherwise it might not save properly.

Also go in and fine the file and make sure that windows has not for some reason marked the file or folder it is in as "READ-ONLY" -- Windows likes to mark folders and files as read only at times which makes the game unable to update its files with the new info !!

This.

I accidently deleted the preferences.exe, and the ctrl+p still functions normally.  I guess I took the guesswork out in the future, now I can't use the wrong one.
