I know everyone seems to hate Flappy Bird but a friend and I have been going back and forth trying to beat each others top scores... as crappy as the game is it's always fun to challenge your friends.
This got me thinking... how hard would it be to setup Flappy Bird (or any android game for that matter) in my MAME Cab.
I've got a cab I'm building with a vertical monitor and I think where Flappy Bird is a vertical game it could fit well on that machine.
There are android emulators out there the only thing that would need to be done is to emulate a "tap" on the screen every time a button is pushed. If you set it up to tap in the spot for the "start game" button you can essentially run the whole game from 1 button.
I'd be curious if anyone has got Android games like this setup and running with Arcade controls on a PC... or if anyone has any ideas how to make it happen?

Use an ouya as your platform. Side load it.
Use an android on a stick; side load it.
I read an article last night that there is a coding website that is using flappy bird as a lesson in coding.
I don't have an idea on how to do it on a pc, but I feel the breeze you are a flapp'n.
Did you see the helicopter game that was popular on here? Kinda the same thing.

There's an online version of the game ( http://www.flappybird.com/play/ (http://www.flappybird.com/play/) ) that uses the mouse clicks in a web page so what you are looking to do should be possible.

I have a PC in a cab with an original arcade monitor already... that's the platform I want to run this on... OUYA/Android platforms wont work for my needs (they couldn't run most of my games and even if they did I need VGA output for the arcade monitor, I'm not interested in adding lag to convert from HDMI) Becides, getting the software to RUN isn't the question I'm really asking here...
The core of my question is how to do you use one of the many android emulators within the context of an arcade machine (launching from a front end, qutting back to a front end, mapping controls etc)... I'd still have all of those problems using an OUYA or an Android stick.

I'm sure it's possible... There are a few different android emulators available the best of which looks to be Bluestacks: http://www.bluestacks.com/ (http://www.bluestacks.com/)
