I've just received two Aim Trak light guns and I'm using them on my CRT TV but I'm not sure if I'm too happy with them.
They are a GREAT product given the limitations of LCD/LED TVs, but I might of had my hopes too high.
For example, there is a slight lag when moving the light gun around the screen making it not "instantaneous". It also seems like I am required to enable the on-screen crosshairs because due to the IR technology you can't be certain that where you're pointing the gun is where you're going to hit. (i.e. calibration works but if you move even a little bit, or hold the gun differently, then it's off)
I'm not trying to disparage this product at all, but I just want to know if maybe I had my expectations too high or perhaps my configuration settings could be wrong.

Check your mouse movement settings in windows. (especially pointer speed)

I've complained pointed that out in almost every discussion of light guns on this board.
The only reason I still have a CRT setup is to play the light gun games with Act Labs guns.
Trying to play them with an IR gun drives me batty.
Someone who grew up playing wii probably wouldn't be bothered so much by needing to use on-screen crosshairs.
