To make a long story short, i bought the Ultimate Scart adaptor, hooked it up to the tv screwed around with resolutions, i tried soft 15khz, but i think my tv is 25khz, all i get is this white scrolling line, when fiddling around with powerstrip i can controll the speed with wich it scrolls... :) yay
i should get the timing and such to be correct, before i activate soft 15khz, since the pc monitor can not operate on it.
So whgat would be the settings for a pal tv? an Xbox works trough the scart, what is that outputting? or am i seeing this wrong? and the UMSA has this positive and nevative cync jumper setting what do i use?
this stuff has been laying around for months now, i need to get it to work, i bought UMSA as a replacement for S-video,
i should have bought a real arcade monitor, and an arcade VGA, but i have no money.. help

I was looking at a HDMI to scart converter but this puts the signal in to composite, so no RGB, therefore i could have just used the s-video cable. is there any way to get a RGB signal from VGA or HDMI?
or is ultimate scart adapter the only way?
i realy can not get it to work.

in the custom resolutions area powerstrip has as a list of pre-defined modes for all sorts of tv's and monitors, maybe you can find one in there suitable for your tv (just test some of them, if you dont get a picture just press escape)
see on the left of picture below...

if you dont want to or cannot make up your own cable i expect you could purchase one from somewhere. i cannot advise on the ultimate scart adapter as i have not used it (but hear it is very good). i dont know of the positive/negative switch but i expect if you dont get a picture, just try flicking the switch and see if that fixes anything :) ps. in the pic below see where it says 'Polarity', the checkboxes can be ticked for positive or unticked for negative, if u are not getting a picture try changing the polarity between positive/negative

why not buy a 5-10 euro gc like radeon 9200 ,9250 or x300- x600 , install crt emudriver , set up ur emus and ur done ? u do like the long way home ? what about investing some time in reading some threads to get an idea of how to set up an emulation pc via scart input ?
