Title: Humble Bundle - Giana Sisters, Guacamelee, Dust:An Elysian Tail, The Swapper
Post by: BadMouth on February 18, 2014, 03:47:39 pm
Solid Humble Bundle this time around:

https://www.humblebundle.com/ (https://www.humblebundle.com/)

I already own the DRM free version of Giana Sisters and it is a bit of a PITA to set up on a cab, but I worked through it with autohotkey scripts.
It has a "thanks for playing" pop-up window when you exit the game that it took some ahk tricks to close.  I don't know if the steam version has it.

Not sure how cab friendly the other games are.

Dust: An Elysian Tale is a Metroidvania-style game that should translate well to a cabinet, depending on how the controllers on PC are. I've only played the 360 version and it's excellent, though a bit.....furry.

Yeah the only one I already had this time around was Monaco and all the rest were on my "watch for Steam sales" list. That said, anyone want a copy of Monaco, let me know.  ;D

I'll take a Monaco Steam key if still available.

I was cheap this time around since I already have 60+ steam games that I haven't played.
...just can't resist the humble bundles and sales.  :-[

I need to go back and uncouple my humble bundle and steam accounts.
When I click to get the steam keys, it automatically redeems them on my steam account.
It's convenient, but it sucks in cases like this where I already have the game and could give it away to someone else.

I agree, this has many games I wanted all in one package.  Great deal, I'd beat the average if I didn't have so many.

I played Giana Sisters on my Ouya.  It was ok.  It had a Commander Keen vibe to me.  Not quite what I wanted, but close enough.  Guacamelee is fun.  I played it on my cabinet.  DID NOT WORK WELL.  Works fine on xbox360 controller.  Antichamber is one of the most recent games I have purchased.   A while back I mentioned I had Monaco.  Turns out I didn't.  I did get it on sale though.  Still haven't played it.  The Swapper seems like one that was on my steam list and is the only one that I would want.

Minor pet peeve here, but they drive me nuts with statements like:

"Pay what you want. Support charity. Get six incredible cross-platform games."

You go to the page, and no, it's not actually "pay what you want" it's "beat the average or get 4 games."

Sent you a PM Badmouth. I have my Steam linked as well but there was a little present icon I was able to click on to get a gift link. We'll see if it works.

Yeah seems strange.  I guess they were tired of giving away everything for people only giving up a penny.

Nonetheless, nice little collection.
