So, I've got Mala all setup and it's working great. I've got windows hidden with Mala as the shell. Using Keith Apicary's Neo-Geo music video as an intro video and it all works great.
Except one thing. When I have a keyboard plugged in, you can cancel out of the video no problem. The controls don't do it though. I am using a Xin-Mo encoder which is seen as two gamepads. Sooo, it seems that gamepad input doesn't cancel the intro video, only keyboard input. Is this correct and I've done something wrong?
Thanks in advance!

I just tried it with Mala and a wireless Xbox 360 controller. I used joytokey to map a gamepad button to Right-Shift. This enabled me to to cancel the intro video with that button. Not sure if there's a cleaner solution or not.

Totally forgot about JoyToKey! When I get home from work I'll do that. Thanks!

why not just disable the intro vid?

Cause I like the intro vid. :dunno

Hmm, JoytoKey would work except for one thing... I've got Mala config'd as the shell, so it loads before anything else. So JoytoKey isn't loaded at that point and can't process joystick input. Back to the drawing board.

Can you run joy2key as a service using SrvStart or something similar?

Worth a try. I do that tonight.
