Hi guys
I have this CRT with 11+1 pins, but the neckboard only have 9+1. This means that two pins
from the CRT aren't going anywhere, except into some half-circles that seems to be there
for that purpose.
This setup has worked before, I know this, but how come? What would these two 'extra' pins be used
for on a 11+1 neckboard?
Thanks!

often the extra pins are for additional grounds..sometimes each gun will have a ground, other times they will chain them together. other tubes will have 2 seperate inputs for the heater filaments, others will just have one (and share a ground with the rest of the system. it's kind of all over but mostly standard.
the socket on the neck board will often have provisions for these extra pins just to make them compatible with either type of tube. makes them cheaper to produce if they only have to make a mold for 1 socket kind as opposed to 2.
