Title: Horizontal width coil help
Post by: Arcade 85 on February 15, 2014, 03:08:18 pm
Hello everyone, this is my first time posting. I just got my first cabinet and need some help with the horizontal width coil. My monitor is a sharp image 33" and it seems to have a pincushion issue,  I got a tv alignment tool set and tried to adjust it but couldn't get it to move, I took pictures of the issues but don't have enough experience to know what tomake of  it. Can anybody shoot some ideas at me please?

looks like a factory set coil to me so you can't adjust it,i expect your monitor will have horizontal size jumpers rather than an adjustable width coil

most chassis have a SPC pot on them, not sure about yours though

Oh OK I Wasn't aware that some coils can't be adjusted, I do have a control panel witha  adjustable pin-cush option but it only changes the size of the entire screen and I'm not sure how to fix the problem of the image being squeezed on the sides. Any ideas?

locate the horizontal size jumper first and then set it to other option,it will marked on the chassis N and W most likely

then try your pincushion

last time i saw a pincushion adjustment affect the horizontal size there was a chassis fault
