Title: Leaf Switch - Rotary Joystick
Post by: lamprey on February 06, 2014, 01:16:33 pm
I was looking around for leaf switches and I can see that you can get them as an option when you order a pushbutton from various vendors. However, I'm only seeing Paradise Arcade as selling the actual leaf switch on it's own. Assuming, the other vendors will sell the leaf switch separately, do you need to contact them for a special order or do I just suck at searching for these things?

Also, The reason I was looking to buy a few was to attempt to convert my HAPP rotary sticks from the micro-switches they came with to a leaf switch. I know anything can be done with enough time and money :) , but has anyone else done this? I can't imagine it's that hard to do, but maybe it's not worth the effort. Just curious if I'm wasting my time or not.. (I suppose that's a pretty subjective question given this hobby).

I saw the prices and I got a little excited, but unfortunately they are out of stock. :)

Thanks for the link though, I haven't come across that site before.

Looks like the Super design after all.  Modifying a Super Pro with the rotary parts could be the best option.

I can't recommend those "switches".  When I first started with the CLASSX button design, I bought hundreds of them.  Threw away 60% and the remaining 40% couldn't hold a candle to the ones we had custom made.   But's it's all there were at the time.  I'd say "you get what you pay for", but these didn't even offer that.

Dang, my order from you just shipped.. :) That does look like a reasonable option. Probably easier that trying to get leaf switches attached to the Happ rotary.

Thanks for eh suggestion.
