Title: Sony consumer trinitron TV's
Post by: Andykara2003 on February 06, 2014, 06:46:49 am
Hi, I have a rarely-used Sony KV-25X5U TV. I also have a collection of shadow mask TVs - but none of the are as sharp as the Sony. Are Sony Trinitrons inherently always sharper than shadow mask TVs?

Cheers :)

Sony Trinitrons are made differently.

you cannot use them for anything arcade related.

not even tube swaps or universal chassis.

Absolutely incorrect.   I have a 24" that I will be using for a Time Soldiers rebuild.

Agreed, you can't swap with a universal chassis but here is a great link that you may find helpful:

You can just put the whole thing in a cab and it will work brilliantly...
