Looks awesome. I was ready to buy until I saw "partial controller support".
Any idea what that is about?
Mouse for menus or keyboard keys for certain functions maybe?
(will probably buy it anyway)

Mouse was necessary. Doesn't mean you couldn't use it on a frankenpanel though.
This game is what frankenpanels were made for.

Just for main menu navigation or for gameplay?

It is for NAV IIRC but its been about 6 years since I played it. Here is a link to the demo from the official website
