Doea anyone have an opinion on a Rowe CD-100 i jukebox. Found one very cheap but have never deal with a cd jukebox before only 45 rpm machines: 6 Wurlitzer's; 3 Rowe's; 4 Rock-ola's. Thanks, Bob

My simple opinion is that you got a nice jukebox. Since it was cheap consider it a bonus. I used to have a 45rpm jukebox years ago; but, when I upgraded to the CD model I never looked back. The CD jukes sound so much better than the record jukes. I find the CD jukes are a little more reliable too.

Sometime cheap turns out to be very costly after putting dollars into repairing a cheap juke. This Rowe CD-100i hasn't made it to my home yet so we don't know if this was a good deal or not. I'll let you know soon. thanks

The CD jukes sound so much better than the record jukes. I find the CD jukes are a little more reliable too.
CD jukeboxes by Rowe Ami sound no better than their 45 jukeboxes, Rowe Ami produced some of its best amplifiers that were used on the mid 70's jukeboxes up to the mid 80's. These amplifiers had to be wired correctly and I have come across several over the years where their owners had put up with a bad sound when all that was required that the cartridge needed connecting correctly.
The R-84 onwards mechanism was rock solid and it was only the electronics that required repairs.

My jukebox addiction started when my Dad owned an early Wurlitzer that I was never allowed to be near unless he was home. He worried I'd spill a soda on it. So now being 66, have my own addiction: jukeboxes. I have a Wurlitzer 2500 (1st one ever owned bought from scrap yard for $25); 2700; 2800; 2900 (2); 3000; Plus wallboxes: 5220 (3), 5250 (4). Then got interested in Rockola's: 452; 456; 488 (2). Next found Rowes: R-88, R-90. Next found NSM Cd Solid Gold; and now found a Rowe Cd-100i. Wife is mad since I know how to acquire when real cheap or broken and near free, but never learned how to sell: yet! All kids have jukeboxes (my over-flow); all my friends have jukeboxes (no room to keep in my house) ; but still acquiring broken toys to mess around with. Pretty sure Vinyls have a much better sound than CD's and these jukes keep on playing over and over after all these years. Just have to purchase drive belts in quantity and never use WD-40 anywhere inside jukeboxes.
