I turned on my MVS cab today, and was surprised to see that the colors are all off. It hasnt been turned on in a few weeks at least, but it was working great the last time I used it.
After playing around with the adjustments, it seems that the red is "missing" When I turn the red adjustment, it just makes it all hazy red, but does not seem to blend with the other colors. You can see this comparison shot next to my MAME cab:

And when going into the test menu, on the colors it looks like this:

(The other colors actually look fine, not like they appear in the pic btw)The red square will not appear no matter how I adjust it (only the outline of the square) During the time I was adjusting everything, it seemed to"warm up" and the colors looked good again, and I thought I was out of the woods, but then it instantly changed back to what you see in the pics.
I am hoping this is just a cap kit needed, but wanted to make sure from you guys first. Thanks!

Upped for checking in first! That's good thinking!

the transistor for your red may be bad (its on the neck board).
An easy way to test is to look at a schematic and find the transistor that controls the red and then swap it with either the green or blue transistor and see if the problem follows.
Even a bad pot on the red gain is possible I guess.
If you're going to pull the board to repair, a cap kit is easy enough to do while you're in there.
first make sure you have properly adjusted all pots.

Turns out it was the easiest fix! The red pin was loose on the RGB connector from the jamma board! Took all the pins out, bent them out for a tighter fit, and all is right in the MVS! So glad it was an easy fix, I really did not want to worry about sourcing a monitor.

cool,
loose wire connections happen.
