The license file is license.txt, it's distributed with the distribution.

Also, I'm not 100% certain, but ArcadeOS isn't exactly made for XP.  It's more made for DOS.

If your not sure why your running arcadeOS you probably don't need to be. Its usually preferred by those that have to run dos and/or people running arcade monitors.

There are many other front ends available. Check the software forum for links. My favorite is Mamewah, http://mamewah.mameworld.net/

Newbies often use Mame32 because its easy to find and easy to setup.

Cocktail  (http://www.mikebillings.com/postnuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=frontend&file=index) is a very similar frontend to ArcadeOS.  It can be rotated also.

EmuWizard (http://www.whizzoconsulting.com/pages/projects/emuwizard.html) is another frontend similar to ArcadeOS.  This one I use because I like it.

You can get a pretty reasonable approximation of a DOS box under XP if you try.  I know of a few utilities that give your XP dos boxes emulated old-school Sound Blaster 16 support and the like.  There's lots of stuff like that on SourceForge.  (can't remember the URL - just google search for sourceforge and you'll go right there.)

If you're looking for a front end, try MameWah for a simple one or 3dArcade for that "wow" feeling.  (and look on the software forum.)

-EDIT-  and if you get your DOS progs running nicely under XP using anything on SourceForge, PM me cuz I've been toying with that as a sort of side project...  trying to get my old Ultima Underworld games to work nicely under XP dos boxes.   ;)
