Title: Driving Game Control Matrix
Post by: lamprey on January 28, 2014, 04:51:35 pm
I know this must be posted someplace, but I'm just not finding it..

Is there a list/matrix of all the driving games (that MAME supports) with their different controls. For Example:

APB - 1x Steering Wheel 360, 1x Pedal, 2x buttons
Pole Position - 1x Steering Wheel 360, 1x Shifter 2-Position (Hi-Low), 1x Pedal
Outrun - 1x Steering Wheel 270, 1x Shifter 2-Position (Hi-Low), 2x Pedal (Gas-Brake)

I'm doing some cabinet planning and I'm seriously considering a second control panel with 2 steering wheels and an Atari yoke (kinda like an Offroad CP but with a yoke in the middle). My current plan would be to keep it simple and only have one pedal and a couple buttons. I was going to forgo adding shifters and brake pedals as I mainly just want to play Super Sprint, Offroad, APB and those type of games that don't require shifters. However, I'm trying to figure out if I did add a hi-low shifter, would that really gain me much in the way of other games that I could play..?

Cheers!

Didn't realize that I had moved the MAME spreadsheet down to the MAME section.
Anyways, here's a direct link for anyone looking in this thread in the future:
