So I'm really close to having this Cocktail Groovy Arcade Cab in full working order.
But one thing I want to increase the game count is include some Horizontal Games (4way or compatible to 4way) that can be played or altered to play on a Vertical cocktail 4wat + 2 buttons setup.
Some you just enable cocktail mode and they work great like:
Joust
Others Groovymame seems to not allow the cocktail mode to work and will squish the screen down like:
Dr. Mario
Mario Bros.
And I want to force vertical on some games like:
Thief
Question is what is the best way, should I create an .ini and then change settings for aspect ratio or stretching? Any ideas. Plus where is the save location for ini files in Groovy Arcade-mame?
anyone recommend a good horizontal games that can be forced into vertical or work with cocktail mode?
Thank you !

Sorry this post is more clear and to the point.
Anyone get Groovymame to allow stretching of a Horizontal Game so that it can be played on a Vertical Monitor. For example Thief can be played on a Vertical monitor.
I tried a thief.ini with the aspect ratio set to 0 and it still keeps it locked to 4:3 when you rotate the screen in the TAB mame Video menu.
Any other ideas???

First, delete the associated .cfg files to avoid conflicts.
Then, run it like this:
groovymame.exe thief -orientation vertical -aspect 3:4

Does this hold true in groovy arcade as well?

Answered my own question.
Created the thief.ini in the .mame/ini directory and it works
Thank you .. Now it's onto the cocktail mode stuff
