Title: Ducksan Monitor ID help
Post by: benll64 on January 26, 2014, 04:08:15 pm
I picked up a Ducksan flat-tube monitor (out of a DDR clone game).

Model # is gcm-2907vf. It's a 29" with a VGA connector. Manufacture date is 9/24/2001. That's all I've been able to figure out.

For some reason, it was connected through an isolation transformer in the cabinet, even though the monitor's chassis board clearly has a large, onboard iso transformer. But the power cord is 2-prong with no ground wire, so....

Anyone know anything about this monitor? Ken - do you know where I could find a manual perhaps? This company doesn't seem to exist anymore.

You sure that model number doesn't start with "CGM"?

Ducksan closed up in September 2003, but you may be able to see what the Wayback Machine still has archived.

I have never worked on a Ducksan monitor bigger than 19". I did not know they made anything bigger.

Yep, you're right, it's CGM.

All I could find on the Wayback machine was a single page from 2003 or 2004, with nonfunctional images and links.

I've found one other person on the Internet with this monitor, so it's either really rare, or most of them are still in use at commercial locations. Maybe one day down the road more information on them will surface...

Thanks, Ken.
