Title: Safely Installing Windows and GroovyMame on PC With CRT
Post by: lettuce on January 19, 2014, 05:54:19 am
What's the best method to do a fresh install of windows and GM on a new PC already in a cab which has a 15khz monitor attached...in regards to the different refresh rates that will be going in the whole installation period. Is it best to hook up a normal LCD monitor for this and then only attach the 15khz CRT after the CRT_EmuDriver driver has been installed?

Definitely, not only for safety reasons, it's much more convenient.

Yep, to get windows installed and the basic config done on the machine, an LCD is a good option. Once you have things running on the CRT, logmein or another remote desktop program is a lifesaver.

but some can cause issues with the video driver..
So if you have any problems with the screen not being centered, or a black screen, or anything like that, uninstall any remote desktop software you may have installed..
